Ashley is an Assistant Federal Defender in the Hartford Office. Ashley received her J.D. from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in 2013. Prior to joining the Hartford Office, Ashley was an Assistant Public Defender in both Birmingham and Montgomery, Alabama. In Montgomery, Ashley served as a Lead Trial Attorney handling the office’s most serious felonies and supervised a team of attorneys. While in law school, Ashley served as an Assistant Director on the Trial Advocacy Board. She was also a Pupil in the Judge James Edward Horton Inn of Courts. Ashley received her BA degree in Political Science from the University of Florida, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 2010.
