Tracy is an Assistant Federal Defender in the Hartford Office. She began her legal career at the Defender Association of Philadelphia, where she specialized in litigating jury trials in complex high-profile cases. Prior to joining the Federal Defender for the District of Connecticut, Tracy spent years as an Assistant Federal Defender at the Federal Community Defender for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Tracy has presented trainings to Criminal Justice Act panel attorneys, is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the District of Connecticut and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Bar in both Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. Prior to law school, Tracy studied abroad in Costa Rica. She received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where she was an Edward F. Hennessey Scholar, a National Appellate Advocacy moot court finalist, and a member of the Public Interest Law Journal. Tracy earned her BS from Pennsylvania State University, graduating from the Schreyer Honors College with high distinction
