Carly is an Assistant Federal Defender in the New Haven office. Carly received her J.D. from Yale Law School, where she was student director of the Criminal Justice Clinic and winner of the C. LaRue Munson prize for excellence in a clinical program. Following law school, Carly clerked for the Honorable Jeffrey Alker Meyer, United States District Court Judge for the District of Connecticut. Prior to joining the Federal Defender Office, Carly received a Liman Fellowship to help develop a DNA Unit for state public defenders in Connecticut. As a fellow, she represented indigent defendants whose cases involved DNA evidence, and provided training and resources to other public defenders. Carly graduated magna cum laude from Amherst College.
